How do I know what size bin I will need?

All skip bins hired out on a strict seven day hire. We can supply bins for extended time (additional charges apply). Call us for prices.
How much can I load into a bin?
Skip bins can be filled to the top or rim ONLY. It is unsafe for us to transport overfilled bins.
What IS NOT permitted in the bin?
Asbestos, Tyres, Liquid Waste, paints / oils / chemicals etc., Gas Bottles, Hazardous Waste. Check with our staff, some products we may be able to assist you with their disposal for instance, dried paint or paint containers maybe acceptable. Tree Trunks or large stumps, cocas palms (by arrangement at time of booking). Mattresses by arrangement at time of booking. Wet concrete cannot be poured into bins becoming mixed amongst general waste (it makes waste unrecyclable – additional charges apply where concrete cannot be recycled). Please ensure all concrete is dry before placing into bins.
Can you collect the skip bin earlier if we have filled it sooner than anticipated?
We can collect the skip bin sooner if required. Call us and we can tailor our service to suit your needs.
What do I do with Hazardous Chemicals?
You cannot put any hazardous waste into the skip bins. Hazardous chemicals include Solvents, Paints, Acids, Laboratory Waste, Oils, Grease traps etc. To dispose of this you need to contact your local council. They will be able to provide you with the necessary details dispose of anything hazardous. Details about chemical cleanouts can be found by contacting your local council.

What can go in the skip bin?
So long as you avoid the “What is not permitted in the bin” items, the list is endless, but here are a few examples.
General Waste: Most household clean up waste, cardboard, clothes, books, toys, old furniture, carpet, white goods, boxes etc.
Green Waste: Garden pruning’s, grass clippings, bark, palm leaves etc….Solid Waste Bricks/concrete/ sand and soil (speak to our staff regarding soil at time of booking).
Renovation Waste: Home renovation or building waste remember asbestos, fibro etc. are not permitted in the skips.
How much notice do I need to give when ordering my skip?
We usually are able to deliver a skip bin within 24hrs of ordering, however, we suggest skip bins are booked as far in advance as possible to ensure you are able to get a skip bin that best meets your requirements.

Items must NOT be placed higher than the rim of any skip or bin and must NOT protrude past the sides. Skips or bins will not be picked-up if this occurs.
